Syncopaths have created a vibrant, new California Celtic
sound. Brought together by bluegrass fiddler extraordinaire
Richard Greene, the Syncopaths feature 1996 U.S. National
Scottish fiddle champion Ryan McKasson on fiddle, Jeff Spero
on keyboard, Christa Burch on bodhran and vocals, and
multi-instrumentalist Bill Flores. FolkWorks writes The
Syncopaths’ debut live CD, "Rough Around The Edges,"
“delivers a rich, full sound that demands you get up and tap
your feet." The Syncopaths is an experience not to be missed!
The band will be playing for dances in the area (Glen Echo and Baltimore) on the days before and after this concert, but they are worth hearing even if you're not dancing. Because the performers understand dance, their playing offers a lift and swing and long phrases that will set your body into motion anyway as you sit and listen.
