24th Annual Washington Spring Ball Saturday, May 22, 2010 Music by: Waverley Station: David Knight (fiddle), Liz Donaldson (piano) and Ralph Gordon (cello) at the Wheaton Community Center, Wheaton, MD Reception 7:00 p.m. Dance 7:30p.m. Practice Session, 1:30-3:30pm at Rosemary Hills Elementary School music by Becky Ross (fiddle) and Colleen Reed (flute) Potluck (with opportunity to change clothing) following the practice session Light refreshments served during break Dances will be practiced at the FSGW’s weekly, Wednesday evening English country dances. The Washington Spring Ball is an annual event of English Country dancing. The atmosphire is relaxed and friendly. There is a practice session the afternoon of the ball, at which most of the dances will be taught. At the ball, all dances will be talked through and then prompted for the first few rounds. Attire is dressy, with many participants wearing "period" clothing.
